~~~~~
I only re-discovered this image
this morning.
It was planted in the car park
at Hopkins Falls (close to the coast)
which is near Warrnambool,
a Victorian coastal city.
A Google image search suggested
it may be a Tibouchina.
However, I don’t think a  tibouchina
would grow in these coastal conditions.
Ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
  1. I’m so glad you explained where the flowers were found including the geography. Australians are good at inclusion, you don’t expect all your readers to be Australian.
    Some bloggers from another large but insular country forget there is a wider world and seem to assume that everyone else is from their country and therefore know exactly where and what they are writing about.
