Pingback: Bird Weekly Round-Up – Week #52 – Our Eyes Open
Wonderful gallery for the week of Long tailed birds. I laughed at the Go away bird. I will post the round up for this one tomorrow morning….my time. LOL! Sorry it has taken a while for me to get to this. It’s been 2 weeks since my surgery and I’m only now beginning to think about the blog. 🙂 How is your knee?

Thank Lisa. Generally my knee is going well. There has been no bruising this time round, for which I am thankful. The only downside is that I am needing constant paracetamol to keep minor aches at bay during the night. A minor price to pay. You’ve had knee surgery also? It does take a week or two to get over. I was hearing of everyone telling stories of how quickly they recovered and were walking again. A day or two after the event I was told that I had undergone ‘major’ surgery. This time I was not looking forward to more major surgery, however the pain in my knee was impeding life. Right now, both knees are operating smoothly. No painful bone on bone experiences. Instead both knees have a painless ‘click’ as I walk.

That is awesome news! I had foot surgery. Torn tendon that caused a great deal of pain. I get my stitches out on Tuesday. Not sure how long it will be before I can walk on it. It has only been 3 weeks since the surgery. I can’t wait to get outside and take photos again. It’s been too hot and I just haven’t felt good enough. 😊

I would have gone over had you not mentioned it at the end 😦 Sad isn’t it? Between cold weather and sitting up until the wee hours last week watching the Tour de France… Need I say more?

I get it. I’m just now getting to my responses. Elsa passed through yesterday and killed a man when a tree fell on his car. It happened not too far from my daughter’s house. There was a tornado that touched down 4 miles from our house. We were lucky to have minimum damage. I’ve been staying up for late night sports too. The Tampa Bay Lightning won the Stanley Cup last night for the second consecutive year (hockey). Only time I watch is the playoffs. 🙂

Glad to hear Elsa did not damage you too much. She did rate a mention on our news a few days ago, she was still offshore at that stage. As for nocturnal habits, with Ash Barty playing in the woman’s Wimbledon Final either tonight or Saturday night as well as the Tour de France, I am going to have a busy weekend. It’s a good job insomonia and I are old mates 🙂 😉
