So far this year we haven’t been inundated with cockatoos

‘aerating’ the front and back yards.

To date only two corella have paid us a visit.

Each one took two large bites from our soil

and haven’t been sighted since.

For some reason, this year,

our New Holland Honey Eater population

has swelled to the extent that they

are rather noisy as they go about the daily ritual

of depleting flowering trees of their nectar.

    • I think I have caught up now, Lisa. I don’t know how I managed to get behind. It’s routine with me…if I miss a week I often forget the following week as well. The next week or so may be a bit iffy also. Wednesday morning off to hospital to have knee replacement surgery…again. I will try my best to keep up. 😊

      • I think it has everything to do with that new grandbaby! I also think I threw you for a loop when I took that one week off. Well, you just get yourself better and pick up when you are feeling better. My knees are causing me a great deal of trouble but no one wants to do anything with them. I go get fitted knee braces next week. 🙂

      • Yay! First on the list! Not sure what time it is there….I think 9am on Wednesday morning. It is still Tuesday here. Woohoo! 🙂 My knees will hopefully get some help in a couple of weeks. 🙂

      • I was bumped to second…1000… in theatre at 1100…back in recovery by 1315. Two hours later the spinal block was beginning to wear off. Now 00.17, Thursday, aleling fairly good although I am filled up with pain killers I have told

      • Why did you have to have a spinal block? I thought you were getting your vaccine. I’m so confused. Did you have surgery? I think I missed something. 🙂

      • Okay that makes sense now. I’m sending you great vibes on a speedy recovery. I know you will be happy to be out of pain and on the run again. 😎

      • Well that is great news! I hope you are home by now. I’ve been gone for several days spending time with my kids & grandkids. It was an awesome visit. 🙂
