Silent-Sunday-May-2013

~~~~~~~
New Year’s Day 2013 was close to forty degrees.
January 4 the asphalt at Loch Ard Gorge
was melting by mid afternoon.
After a long, hot and dry summer
it was no wonder that autumn grasses did not
dare show above ground until mid May.
    • Agreed. 2013 was memorable for it’s heat. 2020 for bushfires and 2021 because it was a wet summer….unusual for our part of the country. However, we are making up for it now. Our ‘La Nina’ weather event ended in early march and there has been little rain since. It’s times like these that I am glad that I am no longer trying to feed pregnant ewes prior to a June lambing
