Samples of Australia’s pre-decimal currency.

The larger coins on the right are officially

known as ‘florins” which is Two Shillings.

Colloquially they were knowns as Two Bob.

Smaller coins on the left are One ‘shilling’ coins.

Known as ‘a bob‘ or a ‘deena’ (not sure of spelling).

I don’t know why.

In total those four coins equal 6 shillings

FOWChallenge-Patriarch

~~~~~
patriarch
a system of society or government in which
the father or eldest male is head of the family
and descent is reckoned through the male line.
****
An elephant family is just the opposite
of this definition of patriarch.
The two smallest elephants in this group
may or may not be male.
The rest would be female with the matriarch
usually being the largest in the group.
Male elephants are sent packing to live
with other bachelors at around
three years of age.
