a feeling of expectation and desire
for a particular thing to happen.

January’s birth flowers are

Carnation and Snowdrops.

Our snowdrops pop through the ground in May.

A few months later our snowdrops…

…have been blooming for several weeks and

announce the arrival of spring.

However, as January’s birth flower with a meaning

of Hope and Rebirth,

I could not think of a better interpretation of hope,

especially this year.
