Our guide told us that this was

the sight of the original McDonalds…

…at Pompeii.  🙂

the price of of a carriage ride

Old and new forms of transport

A ceremony dating back 364 years to 1656,

now conducted with modern instruments and

to a backdrop of modern transportation.

Different generations appreciating

the same music.

  1. Great contrasts, Woolly. I especially like your last shot with the musician. I hope you are well! I’m relieved to hear that your country has really beaten the virus in many areas. I hope your area is making progress, too.

    • Thank you, Patti. The last shot is one of my favourites also. Victoria is in the process of easing restrictions and has seen an increase in new cases which are mostly due to international travellers returning. However there are parts of the country which have had no reported cases and overall many of our cases/deaths are related to international travel according to the experts. On a local level I think there has been a handful of cases.

  2. Excellent choices! I love the contrasts of the old and new images! I remember the stoves in Pompeii. 🙂 Thank you for joining in!
