Seagull…Corio Bay

I like the way the colour of the sky

is reflected in the water.

Possibly  my all time favourite

sunrise image from Corio Bay

Book Review-Gone-by-Midnight

Gone by Midnight

(Crimson Lake #3)

Candice Fox

Gone by Midnight, the third in the Crimson Lake series by Candice Fox commences with four noisy pre-teen boys left alone in a hotel  room while their parents dine together.

On the second night four are again left in the room but only three are there at midnight, when parents return.  The hotel is searched and searched again.  All to no avail.  CCTV footage shows no sign of the boy, or boys, leaving the hotel.  Accused, but never convicted, ex-cop Ted Conkaffey is called into to help by the missing boy’s mother.

While the boy’s disappearance is being investigated Ted is supposed to be entertaining his daughter who is visiting for the first time since he was wrongfully accused of assaulting a thirteen year old Claire Bingley.

There are quite a few subplots in Gone by Midnight and I did not pick the ending.  Any more information and the spoiler alert banner will need to be raised.
