From ground level it is difficult to see…
…the 830 metre top of
Dubai’s, Burj Khalifa.
From the viewing platform,
555 metres above ground level,
these next three images…
…all have this building to near as centre
as I could manage.

Wow, Woolly. The shots of the Dubai Fountain are marvelous! And the dog is…adorable of course. From that perspective, I expected to feel a wet nose pressing against my computer screen. 🙂

Thanks Patti. THe dog ma y not seem so adorable when I tell you she/they did $500 worth of damage to a watering system we have. In reality they were prrobably teething….but they had enough chewable things…….

Lovely shots of Dubai’s Burj Khalifaand Dubai Mall, Wolly. Is it the building where the fireworks took place of New Year celebration? Yes, I could see the pool in the next photo. It’s amazing. 🙂

Sorry Miriam, can’t help you with your fireworks query. There are some magnificent buildings in Dubai from where fireworks could be staged.

Thank you, Woolly. I was curious. I’ll go online to check the building used for fireworks!

Hi Miriam,
It was the Burj Khalifa which staged the New Year fireworks display. I have included a Youtube link if you have not already found it. Iam sure that never made our news services. However, we doon’t even see the Sydney NY dispaly anymore. I hade to watch it online via a U.K. newservice website or Youtube post.

We made an effort to see the fireworks around the world. We saw Sydney, Australia, Dubai, UK, New York Time square, Hong Kong and a couple more. This past NY, more countries had combination of light shows and fireworks instead of just fireworks.
Thank you for the link. I appreciate it.
