Yes I know what you mean. I camped around NZ in 1980, before MGW came on the scene. Number 1 Son’s wedding in Auckland in 2018 was just the catalyst we needed to have a few day prior to the wedding. We always said we would go back for a South Island road trip…just hope it is not too far away.
