Not the best photo but this is the
Antarctic Ice Pack stretching
into the Southern Ocean.
Taken from our QANTAS 747
as we flew to Johannesburg in 2014.
Antarctica is surrounded by the Southern Ocean.
The Southern Ocean is formed where the southern ends
of the Indian, Pacific and Atlantic Oceans meet.
All water south of the fiftieth parallel of latitude
is said to form the Southern Ocean.
Hopefully I will be able to
capture it again next year.
