Minus the watermarks….

..this image takes up space on one of our walls.

When taken, I was simply playing around

with camera settings.

 At the time I was new to DSLR photography

and was irritated that I did not have the same control

over aperture and shutter as I did

with my Olympus SLRs.

 MGW insisted that it be hung and was telling a relative,

at the weekend, that it was one of her favourites.



While speaking of Olympus SLRs, they were

my go to cameras back in the late 70s to late 80s.

During that decade I captured wedding day events

for many friends and relatives and would have

been down on the beach recording the event

for the happy couple.

Although not quite the manual

I was thinking  of…

…this booklet does provide similar  information

in as much as it directs visitors to particular graves

in Western Front Cemeteries.
