A young giraffe sheltering from

the noon-day sun in Botswana.

Perhaps trying to shelter would be

a more suitable description.

One Word Sunday Challenge:  Shelter

At least I now know what the definition

of ‘fine art’ photography is.

My dilemma is that I have no idea whether either

of these images is considered ‘fine art’

or just under exposed images.

I prepared the colour version then realised

it should have been monochrome.

Obviously not shot in monochrome,

but the best I could do.

Word-of-Day-Challenge-Knowledge

~~~~~
knowledge
facts, information, and skills acquired through experience or education;
the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.
Taji had had the run of her breeder’s house
for the first few weeks of her life.
She thought the same rules applied in her new home.
And although it was hard to see her
looking in the window…
…she soon discovered a comfortable spot
where she could demonstrate
all the sadness a Labrador can muster.
A few months later they were allowed to
put their front feet on the mat inside the door.
And considering their treats are stashed just
inside another door they are happy
with this arrangement.
Both of them happily put themselves to bed
in their kennels at least twice a day
even when they are not tied up.
And like all youngsters of a similar age
they still push the boundaries.
For example, Candi has lost some of
her Monday free time because she was caught
pushing over a neighbour’s rubbish bin.
They quickly learn that actions
have consequences.
