Varied Mothers.Black Swan and brood in Geelong wetlands.

Mother and child in South Africa’s

Kruger National Park.

The Grieving Mother…

unveiled about two years ago in Ballarat,

which is about a hour inland from Geelong.

The purple tint is due to incorrect camera settings

which I did not detect until too late.

FOWChallenge-Tenacity

~~~~~
~~~~~

tenacity

the quality or fact of being very determined; determination.

Maggie chasing this backyard interloper

with all the tenacity she possessed.

However, both were happy to see the fence.

One so it could escape.

The other so she did not have to chase,

and potentially catch, her victim.

I’m sure Maggie would not have known

what to do next had she caught the dog.

Word-of-Day-Challenge-Nearly

~~~~~
nearly
very close to; almost.
Compared to living on…
…38 parallel south of the Equator…
…it could be argued that our excursion…
…to Wiseman, Alaska, was nearly
at the North Pole.
After all we were 63 miles
or (101.389 Kilometers)
INSIDE the Arctic Circle.
Wiseman is 67.4100° North,
according to Google.
