As one who can remember the early seventies.

I do remember a Melbourne Department Store logo

telling us in no uncertain manner that everything

was ‘Yelping Yellow‘ this year.

And that was the only time I saw

any quantity of yellow that year.

However Monaco’s Street Art

had me singing again.

MGW tells me these yellow doors are part of

Alice in Wonderland‘ or ‘Narnia’.

I shall take her word for it.

Yellow from the garden.

Some early signs of spring are the

winter blooming acacia trees, and…

…the daffodils which bloom in August.

Spring is definitely here when the paddocks

turn yellow with canola blooms.

A 2019 sight that is a long way off.

Yellow is a nice bright, happy colour

to have around as we head into the depths of winter.

I  should have written a long wet winter.

The days may be cooler, however we have only measured

two and a half inches up until April 30 this year.

Should be closer to 6 inches.

Luckily we had a little over an inch on May 2 and 3.

  1. That is a lot of yellow! As ever your photos are gorgeous. I used Canola fields in my response from Nan’s Farm but we call the plants Rapeseed. Such a shame your pingback didn’t work, let’s hope it’s fixed very soon. Thank you for another link to our challenge. 🙂
