The Great Outdoors theme reminded me of…
Makgadikgadi Salt Pans which form part of the
North Eastern Kalahari Desert in Botswana.
Driving into the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans on Sua Pan
we camped the night at Lekhubu Island
and watched a beautiful sunset
and sunrise the next morning.
The next day we seemed to drive for hours
with only the occasional village to pass by and
a few more Acacia trees to form
the only shelter and shade along the way..
We really felt alone on the planet.
