I can’t go to zoos after having lived in Africa and having seen the animals roaming free.

We have only visited Africa and feel the same way. Zoo animals look so sad compared to their African cousins. 😊😊

It does. Even a nearby open range zoo does not do the large African animals justice. And to see elephants behind huge bars at Melbourne Zoo just broke my heart after seeing African elephants at home.

They are rangers and when you take the essence of their being away… I watched part of a movie last week about how they have half (a total of 24,000!) of all of the wild mustangs left in corrals just existing until they die. This is so the livestock cattle can roam free and provide steaks for every dinner 😦

That’s so sad…I have never seen wild horses/mustangs except on television shows and as you said their essence is being free, wild, to roam the countryside.
