I have ave opted for wildlife again today,
though mostly big cats this time.
Our last excursion (in 2013) was to Tshukudu Lodge,
about twenty minutes from our base at
Sausage Tree Safari Camp.
We were greeted by this cheetah.
She is wild, feeds herself and
was not around for the next group.
Although…
after a hard morning of modelling and
having her ears patted
she followed us back to the Lodge
where she availed herself of
refreshments from the pond.
A local kudu up close.
This cheetah was at Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre.
Have you noticed the pearly white?
Leading the really big cats is Limpy
who was/is my favourite lioness.
She died just under twelve months after this was taken.
The King presiding over his pride, which…
blocking the road when first sighted.

It was a fantastic trip. We love Africa so much that we are planning another visit. I haven’t seen such a diversity of wildlife that is not all that worried by vehicles. However, I have heard colleagues say the animals are the reason why they would not visit Africa.

Very nice photos and cropping, especially for the lion!
