My inspirations come from the Vatican today.
Wherever we looked…
we saw inspiring…
works of art.
Unfortunately the guide’s book was
as close as I came to
photographing ‘Creation’
Then (Step-less) Spiral Staircase.
In recent posts I have commented that we did not
see as much as I would have liked at Pompeii.
I probably have this state of mind because I
wanted to be an archeologist about 50 years ago.
However, the vatican more than compensated
for Pompeii.
Great pictures. When I went to visit St Peters there were two really long queues, but one was markedly shorter so we got in that one. That queue was just to go into St. Peters, the other was for the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel so I never got to do that. 🙂

From memory at The Vatican, and other major attraction we had ‘priority access’…along with 20-30 other coaches. Shoulder to shoulder we shuffled our around. Upon emerging, from maybe Palace of Versailles, we noticed a que several hundred metres long. Then we appreciated our priority access.
