Tuesday Photo Challenge

This volcanic cone is known as Mt. Elephant.

In many other parts of the world a small hill.

However, on Victoria’s Western Plains it is a mountain.

    • It certainly is. Victoria’s Western District, my home for 55 years, is littered with volcanic cones, some barely visible, other 300-400 hundred feet above sea level. One of the most famous is Tower Hill…the barely visible type.
It is a crater within a crater. Maybe the only one in the world, or Southern Hemisphere. Plenty of information on Google and Wikipedia. I have learned a thing or two today also. 🙂
