Weekly Photo Challenge-A-Face-In-The-Crowd

My contribution for this week’s challenge…

A Face In The Crowd

The first two photos I posted recently…

in another challenge.

They may be easily found.

This morning I found a new face in the crowd.

Can you find that face?

My contribution for

this week’s challenge

Birds from the Geelong region.

White faced or White Necked Heron

Black Shouldered Kite

Pacific Gull

 Wedge Tail Eagles

Wedge Tail Eagle

If you cannot sight any of the above,

you can always feed this bloke.

Permanently hungry, I believe.

One Word Photo Challenge-Moose

This weeks topic, again finds me at a loose end..

Although nothing like a moose,

this Kudu is as close as I have.

Maybe after visiting North America later this year

I will be able to post a photo of this elusive animal!

Buddies sharing…a blanket.

I might add, that no matter how many times

or how far back in the kennel we push it,

Candi will have it outside within minutes.

Hope you enjoyed.

Some Corio Bay BWs…

A BW version of this week’s

My second photo this week with…

 variations to follow.

I  inverted the colours and kind of like the result.

Hope you enjoyed.

Best I can do for hail…

is really heavy rain.

Although I didn’t have my camera

when wind and rain removed the roof

of a well-known wedding reception centre in Geelong.

  During the same storm,

half-inch diameter hailstones

came through our church door

and coming to rest about twenty feet up the aisle.

Blemishes are the bane,

I suspect, of photographers all over.

At least they are my greatest cause of distress.

A photo I took last Friday morning.

I thought, ‘Not bad!’

Then I noticed the blemishes.

The irritating stuff if it was on your wall.

First, there appears to be least two ‘uglys’ floating

in the foreground as well as four or five other

less noticeable spots just above my watermark.

Second, as usual there were plenty of sea birds

stretching their wings and having breakfast.

I looked on in awe of their antics

until one swooped in as a blur.

See the dot below the left most boat.

Finally, the horizon is not straight.

With noticeable blemishes removed

it is only the horizon which is of concern.

It has been straightened and measured as level.

However, I think the land on the right adds

to the illusion that the horizon is lower

on the left than on the right side if the image.

With these corrections made

I think I will add this to my collection

to display in my Art Trail exhibit in late March.

Pic and Word Challenge: Blemish

Seeing as next Thursday Special

is not due until February 22nd,

and because I am a creature of habit,

another trio/triple.

Sunrise on Geelong’s

Corio Bay on

Friday (Feb 16) morning.

Also, due to international time zones,

I may not be home to catch this week’s

Thursday Special in a timely manner.

Thursday’s Special: Triple

Nothing like ‘Mod Cons’…

to keep drinks and edibles chilled.

No matter how hard the sun shines, some mornings

Mother Nature wins with frosts like this

and it takes a while to warm up.

It was only chilled air that could have helped

form this horizontal icicle about a decade ago.
