I was slightly tempted to ride around…

Book Review-Fool-Me-Once

 Fool Me Once

by

Harlan Coben

Fool Me Once written by Harlan Coben tells a story of a young ex military Mum who has married into a wealthy, powerful family. Unfortunately that family seems to attract death, with two immediate members being murdered and several friends also suffering the same fate.

Fool Me Once solves those murders as well as post-traumatic stress disorder.  PTSD becomes a major part of the story after a murder victim is seen on a nanny cam…several days after he is buried. From that point on ex-Military mum, Maya, struggles, against the odds, to discover the truth behind this series of deaths. In doing so she unravels more and more dark secrets of the family in to which she married.

Fool Me Once has a ending which I did not suspect leaving the possibility for a tissue box to be nearby for both sad and happy tears.

As usual I have to have my say about the narrator. For Fool Me Once this is January LaVoy.  January was/is an excellent narrator in my opinion.  Each character was distinguishable when she read their lines which mage Fool Me Once an easy book to listen to.

I thoroughly enjoyed Fool Me Once and would recommend it to any other fans of the murder/mystery/thriller genre.

I think

Some images taken along Victoria’s

Great Ocean Road.

Stone piles created by tourists, holiday makers.

After the bush fires of a year or two ago.

These fires burned to the sea and closed

the Great ocean Road to tourist traffic

for several days.

Brugges or is it Bruge?

I m never sure and would love to hear/see

how locals spell the name.

No visit to Amsterdam would be complete

without visiting a diamond cutting factory.

Flash.

Recently we had a fast moving storm pass by in….

in the wee hours of the morning.

I managed to capture several flashes of lightning

which look reasonable at this distance,

however, when zoomed in they are out of focus

and I am not sure why.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge-Winter-Water

~~~
My contribution for this week’s
Winter-Water
I posted this a week or so ago
after some heavy rains.
For the 24 hours to Tuesday morning we had
another fall of 38 mm (152 points) which has
filled dams, and left water in paddocks where
we have never seen it in our twelve years
near Geelong.And there is more thunderstorms forecast
over the next few days.
All around us the ground certainly looks
like it does in the middle of winter.
~~~~~

Tuesday April 25 is ANZAC Day in

Australia and New Zealand.

ANZAC Day commemorates the

Australian and New Zealand Army Corps

efforts at Gallipoli in World War I.

Throughout Australia, New Zealand and other

countries where ANZACs served during two World Wars

Dawn Services are conducted

to commemorate…

those who served, lost their lives

and were injured during these conflicts.

This service had several hundred residents

braving wet weather to attend the 0600 service.

My home town had about 80 residents attend its service.

The area has a population of around 400.

Our eldest son, at the behest of his

New Zealand girlfriend drove across to

Melbourne’s Dawn Service.

Marvelous what love will do!!

Hope you enjoyed.
