Week 50, 2016
For 55 years Warrnambool was out go to city of supplies,
supermarkets, doctors, dentists etc.
A round trip of over 100 kilometres.
These days I rarely get back unless visiting an auntie.
This day was for the funeral of another auntie..both Dad’s sisters.
Too many distractions and it is not even the main street
which is one block to the right.
However, this road does lead directly to that gorgeous
blue water on the horizon and by now
thousands of tourists will have pitched their tent
or parked their caravan,
among the Norfolk Pines,
for a few weeks holiday.
On the green sign is an arrow pointing to Port Fairy,
one of Victoria’s earliest settlements.
Again a huge tourist destination this time of the year.
