About 10 PM on Friday I noticed the moon was nearing
the horizon and it reminded me of the following.
Years ago at our local pub two of the regulars
would argue that this was either a ‘wet’ or ‘dry’ moon.
‘Wet’ because it was on its back and none
of the water (rain) had yet fallen.
‘Dry’ because it was on its back and
would not let the rain fall.
And at the end of each month there would be
a nod and a wink and an
“…I told you..’
comment pass between these friends.
