Weekly Photo Challenge-Jubilant

My contribution for this week’s challenge…

Today I ventured across to Melbourne to watch my much-loved

Magpies (Collingwood) do Battle with the Geelong Cats,

as part of the AFL (Australian Football League) season.

Most of us wearing the Black and White colours of Collingwood

were not expecting our team to play very well

based upon previous games this season…

so there was much jubilant cheering when

Collingwood scored the first two goals…and

then went on to score another five in the first quarter,

while holding Geelong goalless….the first time since 1980.

I should also add that our former

NBL player, Mason Cox,

made a sound contribution to our win

kicking two goals and helping out around the ground.

  2. Congrats for Collingwood this afternoon. It must have been a great game to watch. I was in the city earlier and saw many fans out for dinner after the game. They all looked ready to party 😀

    • Thank you, it was a great game. Any game Collingwood wins is great though! Not surprised to hear of fans ready to party. V/Line’s football special (train) back to Geelong was a very quiet trip!
