My contribution for this week’s
“What’s This”
challenge.
~~~~~
T have taken this challenge as per the title
Hope I haven’t been too literal.
One of my earliest posts.
~~~~~~
It’s not the red faced bird I’m posted last week.
With the Rio Olympics not far away,
I took a trip to Ballarat’s Lake Wendouree today.
This is the starting line, and course for the 1956 rowing events.
Still used today by local school for regattas., I believe.
Top three photos:
-
Pumpkin seeds.
-
Pelican.
-
Swan at Lake Wendouree

My ideas before reading other comments: The first one … something to eat. Orangey … I guess vegetably … pumpkin, squash? The other two are birds’ eyes, right? With a bit of beak?

I think you get an “A” 😊😊. As you said..first one is of pumpkin seeds. Second a pelican , third a Black Swan. The least I did not expect anyone to guess…unless you were in a 1956 Olympic Rowing team. However, with so much talk about the forthcoming Olympics, in the Down Under media, and as it was the first time I have seen the rings and course, I thought I would throw it in in case someone did actually row in 1956. 😊

So glad my guess for the first one was wrong! I can now continue to eat Salmon. 🤓

The first photo made my stomach quite queasy! Then you told us what it was, thank goodness.

Nothing like a bit of pumpkin….roasted or otherwise.

I was thinking squash on the first, so I was close! I also thought it was an Eagle’s eye- again not too far-you got me on the swan!
