My contribution for this week’s challenge…
Eye Spy
~~~~~
I began searching for a photo which I did not find. Instead I spied…
this African Hawk, (hopefully someone know’s its name)…
A Hornbill…all of which have an evil stare,
but are fun to have around.
Thses eyes are looking for something…
just not sure what.
Taken from near our tent, this gentle giant decided he was going the long way around to the water hole this day.
This is why I love Africa.
Zoos don’t let you get so close as this…
Excellent archives, Wooly Muses… nothing like the experience of an African safari. I keep digging into mine, too. Life-changing.
If you like getting ‘up close and fairly personal’ with the animals it is just wonderful. I have met people that are not that way inclined, which I cannot understand, and would not set foot on the continent. We were destined to go to Mozambique next year, however, all our travelling companions, who suggested the idea, pulled out. We hope to return in a few years.
Well u r brave to be able to get such up close and personal shots like this – and I have seen some of your other Animal photos and whew! Good stuff. Sorry your trip fell through – hope you did not lose a lot of deposits – (or pre-paid gratuities!)
Amazing photo of the Hornbill. Was that your personal photo? Just asking because you mentioned that you forgot to give credit to some photos.
No it’s not mine. None of today’s offering are my photos. MGW uses a Nikon Coolpix which has the letter N in the image file name. When I use a photo I generally rename it and leave the N in the file name if it belongs to MGW. Today, I cannot claim credit for any photos 😕 Which is first.
Beautiful photos, nonetheless. I borrow photos also at times if I don’t have an original to match my theme.
We have ours all together so occasionally MGW’s pop up. This week, for some reason, none of them were mine and I am not sure why.
Must be honest…so do I. So many vivid memories. Meant to give MGW photo credit today…I think most were from her camera. 🙂
