My contribution for this week’s challenge…
Inspiration
~~~~~
A few years ago the largest photo I had ever taken
was 10 inches by 8 inches…and that was
back in the late 1970s early 80s.
Since purchasing my Nikon DSLRs it has been my dream to make bigger photos.
After our first African Safari I created an online
A4 size book (10 x 8 inches) with
a couple of double page spreads…A3 size.
Last year I made a slightly bigger book (11 x 11, I think).
Finding myself at a bit of a loose end this year
I posted some of my pictures on a dedicated Facebook page
and on another WordPress site.
As a result I have had requests to create photos
large enough to take pride of place
on living room walls.
My Zebra is about 18 x 24 inches; and
My Guitar is about 32 x 23 inches.
Whether for my own enjoyment or the enjoyment of others,
creating these photos is my inspiration
at this stage of my life.
I guess my inspiration for aiming at larger photos is a photo
which covers a Geelong, McDonald’s Restaurant wall.
I would love to have my signature on such a photo. 🙂
Hmmm, I didn’t know there was a song about zebras wearing pajamas. It’s probably going to be like so many things, I’ll hear it everywhere. 🙂
Yes it is an oldie…a duet sung with a child. Hopefully this link will work for you. Otherwise Google The Horse in Striped Pyjamas. Hope you and family enjoy it. 😊
I like the close up photography a lot. I simply don’t yet have the equipment for it. As for the zebra, one of my son-in-law’s father always told his kids they were horses with their pajamas on.
Thank you for liking Doc.
Some of my shots are fairly close but I also take advantage of a zoom lens and cop for effect. Doesn’t always work out but is fun 😀. As for the horse in striped pyjamas….did you son in law sing the song?
Thank you. A few years ago I had never thought of visiting Africa. Now I would love to go back each year. We go with a comparatively inexpensive company which will accept your bookings …no need for a travel agent.
It is one of my favourites. Would love to be employed to photograph wildlife…especially African wild life.
