Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge-5-Items

My contribution for this week’s

Fun Foto Challenge

On Wednesday we visited Werribee Park Open Range Zoo.
kangaroo_0191Some very Australian animals enjoying some winter sun,

before a cold blast due over the weekend and next week.

buildings_0203An African village.  No!

This is the overnight accommodation at Werribee Zoo.

laneway_0464Plenty of menus, tables and chairs at the only eatery

in Melbourne’s Laneways which was empty!

to the lamp posts in this lane.

  1. Great selection of photos. You are in line for our freezing storms. It even snowed here on Te Mata Peak which is usually doesn’t. My son drove through snow coming up from Wellington on Thursday. Just warning you.

    • Yes, snow forecast down to 600 metres in Victoria and wind chill down to -20 Celsius. Not a happy forecast for the whole weekend/week. I remember talking to a Canadian who said -20 was shirt sleeve weather where he worked…inside the Arctic Circle.

    • This was my second choice of photos. I mis-read the theme and thought I needed five of everything. Hence, I found five orchid blooms with five petals etc…but it made for Floral Friday post 😀

  2. I would probably stop at every single lamp post on that lane and attempt to soak up the beauty of the artistry! I love the perspective that you captured in the overnight housing, the angles are fun!

    • That’s about all they do when the shines. However, driving at dusk and dawn in kangaroo country and they become a real health hazard as they often feed alongside roads. Car vs Roo is a very costly encounter. 😀
