Cee’s Black and White Challenge:
Animals.
~~~~~
How lovely…animals!!
And all from Africa.
Cheated a bit with this one.
One of our first giraffe sightings.
A bona fide zebra crossing 🙂
Each morning a Sausage Tree Safari Camp
this giraffe was waiting just outside the compound.
One of my favourite zebra shots.
Limpy the lioness was the only lion at Sausage Tree…
because she had these six week old cubs to care for.
The rest of her pride had crossed over
Olifants River to Kruger Park.
Sadly Limpy passed away while
we were in Botswana last year.
Thanks for featuring WoollyMuses this week Cee. Has been a good week although coming to terms with ‘retirement’ has its ups and downs. Our baby’s birthday this week and looking forward to a family celebration tomorrow (Saturday) night. Don’t know where the past twenty plus year have gone…and so quickly.
I knew I could count on you for some marvelous exotic (at least for the US) animals. Thanks Woolly for playing.
I think all countries have their own exotic animals. One of my favourite memories was giving way to a brown bear at Clear Lake golf course (Manitoba) in 1976. I think it is often in the eye of the beholder 🙂
You are so right about that. I lived in northern Minnesota and deer, bear and moose where common.
