Cee’s Black and White Challenge:
Bathrooms-Outhouses.
~~~~~
Wasn’t sure if I had pictures for today’s challenge…and then…
I remembered the temporary loos at
Kharma Rhino Sanctuary in Botswana.
When we visited all public areas were temporary
as the main building had burned down a few months earlier.
The rhinos, and other animals who chose to call the sanctuary home
have a twenty-four hour military guard.
No wonder all appeared very relaxed.
Next we have the outdoor bathroom at tented camp near Maun.
Just right of the photo is the main tent.
Biggest problem with this bathroom was the cold breeze
blowing up through the floor.
I get chilly just thinking about it!
And with no roof…it was a very quick shower.
Although after no shower the night before
and the next six nights with community facilities,
up to one hundred metres from our camp site,
this was heaven.
Then we arrived at Chobe Lodge…
with more room in the bathroom area
than we had in our two person tents.
Oh! The Joy!
At last there was again,
room to swing a cat. 😉
Great photos. I remember the showers in Poland at the camping ground – you had to get up a 4 in the morning to get the limited supply of hot water. Plus it was not clean. I judged all the camping grounds on the showers or lack thereof.
You have some marvelous photos of bathroom and outhouses. I like your first shot the best …. I am kind of rustic myself. 🙂
Don’t think I set foot inside those rustics. We had several rustic camp sites…roof a foot above the walls, bird wire filling the A at each end of the hut and so on. Would be great in January-March…but in September it was just a bit chilly.
