My contribution for this week’s challenge…
Wall
~~~~~
This post may be everyone’s cup of tea,
but I will never forget…
the feeling of driving alongside this grey wall.
No-one had mentioned that there was a wall anywhere in our travels, but my mind was certain that it was a wall.
Further more my camera was having great difficulty focusing.
We were at Nata Bird Sanctuary in Botswana, September, 2014. The closest birds were some flamingos
about one kilometre from us.
To me they were two white stripes on the water…
everyone else saw pink 😦
We were told that it there are either lots of birds or very few.
Guess which day we visited? 🙂
To make up for the lack of birds, our guide performed
the ‘flamingo dance’ which amused all.
Just realised that I did not mention the grey wall
was in fact a large expanse of water
covering the Sua Salt Pan.
A fun photo. I guessed it was the sea.
I must have been tired or something as I was sure it was a wall 🙂
I thought it was water but when you wrote the grey wall, I looked again and again:) and I was relieved when I came to the last part. Nice:)
I was relieved when I discovered it was water also…whether it was tint on the windows or something else, it was a fantastic optical illusion…which no-one else experienced. 🙂
Interesting take on the challenge with that large expanse of water acting as a wall!
You have no idea of how weird it felt to be driving along side it…thinking it was a wall…and no-one else making a comment about it. I truly believed it was a wall.
