ONE FOUR CHALLENGE – DEC14-WK-4

~~~~~
My contribution for
Robyn’s
‘Captivate Me’
blog
One-Four-Challenge
This week I have applied Picasa’s
Duo Tone with brightness set at about 75%
on the original photo.
As previously stated, this is an excuse to try new things,
experiment, if you will, with Picasa.
I think this is ‘different’ but it is not my favourite.
which was cropped from this one below…
For the last image I have added some fill light
to make the objects clearly visible.
These photos were taken with Cee’s glass, or light challenge in mind.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, I did not have the
F Stop, ISO or Shutter speed set correctly and
the photos were much darker than expected.
My guess would be a slower shutter would have helped.
Still…there was a silver lining…
In keeping with Robin’s suggestion …
all feedback or comments are welcome.
  1. Week 2 has it for me and love the crop of the original that was the start of it all. I was thinking of curtains blowing in the breeze and was way off, and your different colourations (if there is such a word) gave very different effects. Glad we got to see the original at last.
    • Glad you enjoyed it. Week 2 is my favourite also. I can see how you thought of curtains. It was a large dose of luck, or misfortune, which provided me with the photo. Hope you have a Happy Christmas and a safe New Year. 🙂
  2. I do like these colors this week, they are not ordinary by any means. They give a depth and softness to the image that I haven’t seen in previous versions. Always so interesting to see where you go with your process. I am still a huge fan of week 2, it has it all, for me. And I LOVE seeing where the image originated, like opening a present at Christmas 🙂 Happy holidays!
  3. Wow, so interesting to see where the original came from. I would never have guessed it was the light reflecting on objects, not until you revealed the glasses in the lighter version! Nice work honing in on that… I voted for the blue icicles of Wk1. Chris
  4. I’m so thrilled by your image Woolly!
    Thrilled, in that I never would have guessed what it was and I loved the underexposed image with all its suggestions.
    Also love all that youve done this month, with the transparent version being my equal favourite, alongside the original 😃
