Week 4  This week the colouring is more to my liking.

I did have another blue version, similar to last week’s red image

but preferred this blue

I have included a POLL, as suggested by Robyn, and

the FULL Size original image way down at the bottom

Week 4

Week 4

These blue tones are as appealing to me as the Week 1 version.

Unfortunately I don’t remember which filter I applied

to create any of these images except for week 2 which was a pencil sketch.

All my entries for November 1-2 Challenge AND a BONUS… the original

Below is the full size original.

It was taken while walking along the board walk

looking into relatively shallow water.

It did not turn out the way I wanted but has

given me some mileage as an abstract image.

water-orig_1452 - Original

The photo was probably taken around here

in between a couple of moored boats.

The water was shallow and I thought it look interesting.

The result was not exactly that which I was expecting.

  1. Ah! At last the big reveal! Isn’t it interesting how a “discard” can actually turn out into something very useable if you let your imagination run and move away from your original intent! I actually really like the original image, but voted for Desert Dreaming – WK1 and its soft tones. I also like the fact you kept us guessing all the way, as we all went on our own journey of imagination.

    • A discard is the best way to describe it…however, one man’s trash…..! I like Desert Dreaming, as much for the tones as well as it was the first and created for the Cover Art challenge aa while back.

  3. I have wondered where this image came from. It reminded me of an image my husband gets when he takes photographs from an electron microscope of minerals. It makes for beautiful abstract images. I have enjoyed studying your images each week. I think I like week 1 the best but I appreciate your work, sincerely.

  4. Ah, at last the mystery is revealed! I would never guess it without your explanation. To me, the original looks like an abstract oil painting of moon and the cloudy sky.
Of all versions, week 1 is my favorite. I don’t know how or why, but it reminds me of Leonardo da Vinci’s work.

    • I thought that I should make it clear where and how the photo was taken. I agree with your comment about the oil painting etc., it just doesn’t look like water. Week one is also my favourite.

  5. Well I really like this weeks image – makes me feel like Im looking through a microscope! So amazing. This image is very versatile.
I really like the original too and I love that you took this photo – so intriguing! Another great week 😀
