Which Way Challenge-14-Wk-14

The track we passed along to…

whichway_0396the Makgadikgadi Pans in the distance.

The Makgadikgadi Pans cover about 10,000 square kilometres

of the Kalahari, are nothing but salt.

Some salt pans are enormous while

others are only the size of a small pond.

As we drove over the Makgadikgadi Pan

we passed by rolling grasslands,

occasional picturesque cactus plants

before we reached baobab covered Lekhubu Island.

    • Amazing how we often never visit places in our home country but do so when on holidays in another country. I have never been to Lake Eyre, however, I would presume that it is similar to the salt pans in Botswana.
