My contribution for this week’s challenge…
Summer Lovin’.
~~~~~
Not feeling very summery this time of year and needed to dig through the archives.
Ballarat is about an hour or so from Geelong and where
gold was discovered in the 1800s..hence the name.
Even though these photos were taken in late February, there is only a
small crowd around the foreshore…a bit cool I think.
Also the school year was under way.
Usually no parking spaces around here…
~~~~~
Eastern Beach is the most popular beach in Geelong and
only about two or three blocks walk from the central business centre
~~~~~
The semi-circle is known as The Promenade and is packed with
families using its relative safety to cool down during hot weather.
I can just imagine what it must look like during the December holidays, with throngs of vacationing families!
You got it in one. I try to stay away as much as I can. No parking and every chance of someone running across the road just in front of your car.
I would gladly trade our February snowbanks for your beaches even though they might not be tropical! Thanks for the ping back.
Nearly wintered in Canada in 1976. Kinda glad I didn’t now, although when the mercury passes 40 degrees and snowdrift is appealing 🙂
You can always put your feet in a bucket of cold water and stare at my winter pix!
