Floral Friday Challenge.

Camellia – Snow.
~~~~~
Hopefully this is as close to real snow as we will ever see.
Early in the week I noticed that one of our ground cover camellias had flowered.
~~~~~
As they are only six or eight inches above ground level and is easy to miss them if one’s mind is wandering.
~~~~~
As it mature and there are more blooms, the mix of sea-side daisy and camellia blooms should make this corner of the garden look rather nice…me thinks.
If the bloom you captured is any indication, I’m sure the grouping of white flowers together looks quite stunning!
Such a pretty flower! I didn’t know there were ground cover camellias, I’ve only known and seen the tall ones.
Until about twelve months we had never seen them either. We have two, the picture Snow and Marj Miller. I don’t know if they are Japonicas or Sasanquas. Probably the former. Easier to grow I think.
That would have to be one of the most beautiful camellia blooms I’ve ever seen !!!!!
I am hoping that I can surpass that one this year, although I think it was in full bloom this time last year. At the moment it is showing no, or little, sign of blooming this year.
Guess I had a bloke look the other day, M.R. I have been reliably informed by MGW that there are plenty of buds on these bushes. We now just need to be patient. It is a great day for blogging…rain is pouring down and cold, cold.
It was here, too, Woolly – but suddenly the sun’s out and it’s warming up like mad. Insane.
The sun only, shines around midday lately and then not really warm. Cold, wet. North of the Murray is the best place to be this time of year.
