A Word a Week Photography Challenge–Run

My contribution for this week’s

 Word of the Week Challenge…

During my woolclassing life I used to experience four runs each working day.

I promise that those four runs had nothing to do with the cook’s cooking!

impala_0505A ‘run’ in shearing shed parlance refers to each two-hour working period during the day.

So rather than try to explain this I decided…

impala_0510to use some photos which I took on our first day in South Africa.

impala_0518The Airport Game Lodge in Johannesburg provided our first encounter with African animals.

Late afternoon and early morning proved to be a time…

impala_0531when even African animals like to stretch their legs and show off a bit…

impala_0532just like lambs and calves do as they become stronger.
