Floral Friday Challenge.

I think this is a hibiscus.
We tried to grow them in the Western District…alas the climate was too cold and they always succumbed.

However, in Geelong’s milder climate they seem to thrive.

It is hibiscus but different from the ones in the tropics. Here in the US Midwest, they call it Rose of Sharon. The bloom profusely in the summer and survive the harsh winter.
