My Illuminated Travel Theme for this week.
~~~~~
The latter ‘half’ of our evening game drives, at Sausage Tree, was conducted after the sun had set.
Our guide had a spotlight which he would use to illuminate the foliage…
both high and low.
Although it did not stay to greet us, this large Genet was part of the night life…
we spotted under lights.
We often discovered interesting patterns in tree branches…
along with residents …
who did not always appear happy to be illuminated in this fashion.
However, at only ten or fifteen metres from our tent, this will always be my favourite ‘illumination’ from our South African Safari.
You had me at the owl! I love those critters! They are all over my house. (Not real, of course!)
Great illumination.
This one has a gorgeous grumpy expression in one shot. He does have a name, can’t remember just now, but will include in my wordless Wednesday post of owls…thanks for the idea 🙂 only have a couple more.
Your photos remind me of the Night Zoo in Singapore. You take a tram ride and then walk for a bit to the various animal enclosures where artificial light casts an almost eerie glow onto the animals. Thanks for sharing your pics! http://ohtheplaceswesee.com
