Do you prefer to receive gifts or give them?
This is a tough one, I do like to receive but also like the experience of purchasing the gift for someone else. There is satisfaction when the ‘right’ gift is chosen, so I guess giving.

If you could be given ANY gift what would it be?
My first thought was a red Mercedes sports car or yellow Lamborghini but both of those are ‘wear out’ gifts. Therefore if I could have any gift I will settle for a couple of million dollars. I think I could live off the income, buy my sports car and so on.

If you had a shelf for your three most special possessions (not including photos, people or animals), what would you put on it?
First, my wedding ring. Second, my cameras and, Third, my technology gear – iPads, iPods and external hard drives (which do contain precious photos).

Would you spend the weekend in an abandoned house in the forest?
This is a no-brainer, has to be a forest…as long as there is no threat of fire. There is nothing as quiet, or noisy, as a forest. One only has to be a few metres into a forest and all the sounds of the world begin to abate and the sounds and smells of the forest overtake one’s senses. It is cool, quiet, relaxed. Dare I liken it to being on safari in South Africa. We did not realise this until we walked out into Perth traffic. A total difference to going to sleep with elephants feeding (breaking trees) and lions roaring…much preferable to city traffic.
Now, off to work!

Your reasons for staying in a deserted house in the forest are my reasons not too! lol

I can’t even imagine what a safari is like. You gave a good description of the noises.

Neither did I. Picture being at the zoo with all the animals out of cages and, more or less, sitting watching you watching them. Apart from lack of internet connection at every camp it was a fairly comfortable trip.

Not going to make promises. Was in the aea in January as tour guide for Canadian friends so did not take photos of the forest..twisting roads etc. Will have a look over Christmas, though.
