I know that I have submitted the photo below in the Horizon challenge, however, when I saw a past Good Morning challenge and this week’s Eerie challenge, I had to resubmit the photo, plus one…..
~~~~~
…mostly this was our first glimpse of the new morning, at
Sausage Tree Safari Camp.
~~~~~
However, an early morning start (around 0500) produced this photo out the front of our tent. To many this would be considered an eerie start to the morning. At the time is seemed natural as we had gone to sleep listening to breaking tree branches…..elephants feeding.
The tree in this photo is evident in the bottom left hand corner of the top photo.
Also evident is just how low, or high, the fence is which is keeping both parties separated.

Hmm. Wonder if elephants, lions and tigers and bears find us ‘eerie’, too.

That second pic is very eerie indeed, but when you explain it, not so much. 🙂

I have to admit something… I am honestly expecting los chupacabras to rear their heads. Every time I see a scene like this, it’s the first thought that crosses my mind.

Yes that would give most people a bit of a shock I expect. The elephant is almost camouflaged, I didn’t notice it at first until I looked closer. Good job it wasn’t a Tiger!
Great post & also thank you for the pingback 🙂

At that time or morning there could have been anything there, but even within twenty metres of a lioness and her cubs we did not feel threatened. Our biggest concern was missing ‘that shot’. 🙂

LOL I admire you’re dedication! 😀

Thank you. Our dedication was rewarded on our last game drive, which we were not expecting and we all all a bit weary. Only one of us remained in camp. We spent half an hour watching the cubs from around 20 feet, while mum sat around 20 metres away.

We slept very well thank you. Th smashing of tree branches was talked about more than seeing the elephant walk by.
