~~~~~
I was not sure how to approach the ‘hue of you’ challenge this week, so I decided to go with what I like.
During the past few weeks I have been madly photographing nearly anything that moves…and a lot that did not!
~~~~~
With a Nikon 55-300 mm lens attached to my Nikon D90, my photos often (always) had this hue about them.
~~~~~
~~~~~
Many of my fellow travellers had photos which resembled the shot below.
Richer, deeper colours.
~~~~~
My problem with the richer, deeper, look is that it is not real.
~~~~~
Therefore, I guess my ‘hue’ is one of realism; particularly when photographing these lions.

I had hoped to post while away, however the reception was not great in Kruger. Even WiFi was not we are accustomed to. I soon used up my 3G allowance just trying to load pages. Facebook was the only useable website. It was the holiday which we all wanted to continue.

Hi Woolly! Not an easy subject you’ve picked there, but a beautiful one 🙂

Beautiful for sure. We were all excited to have seen this pride, however, this sighting was pushed into the back of the memory bank after some of our other lion encounters.

I think it’s perfect without the enhancement! Brown is brown! Lovely lions!

Thank you. Every time I tried enhancing one of my SA shots it didn’t look right.

Sometimes they don’t. Too yellow I find. I liked it

Color is subjective, but do what your heart tells you. I love lions.

I have always had a passion for big cats, just didn’t realise how big it was until I saw them in the wild. They are beautiful. Thanks for your comment regarding colour, also.

Yes, stay true to your colours, Woolly.

Thanks Tish. Difficult to remain objective when others are taking the opposite view.

Yes, we’re all a bit hooked on our ‘enhancement’ facilities – me included.

Totally agree. The only one I really use is the sharpening tool. But then again I only have limited image manipulation software.
