Wordless Wednesday-Trees

Fog has always provided some fantastic views. This year I have a smart phone and my Nikon with me most times and a reason to capture the image.

…and these two are even better.  Even the birds are enjoying the early morning view.

Which of Snow White’s 7 dwarfs describes you best? Plus what would the 8th dwarf’s name be? (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey)

This a tough one to answer.   I am sure many of my students would think Grumpy, Dopey or Happy would be appropriate.  Looking for support, a confidence booster (why did I bother?), I turned to MGW and received a no-nonsense ‘Grumpy’ for my efforts.  Our kids definitely think I am Grumpy.  So I am quite Happy (internally) when I hear them talk about the managing decisions they have to make about their work peers/colleagues.

As for the Eighth dwarf, I think his name would be Easy….as in laid back…also an adjective applied to me last week,

In short I would like to think that I am a Happy soul.

Would you travel into outer space?

If I could have a return ticket.  Some of my students told me, last week, that they would happily take the one way ticket to Mars on offer at the moment.

If you were a tree, would you become a book or furniture? Please describe.

Neither one.  Furniture, generally speaking, only has a life span of around five to ten years.  The digital age is now reducing the number of books being made and generally books have a shorter life span again.  Though if I  were to come back as a book it would need to be a good novel or history book….text books are tossed out on a yearly basis.

I would prefer to remain a big old tree and live for several hundred years and raise families of birds and possums and have kids climb through my branches.

Which would you prefer: a wild, turbulent life filled with joy, sorrow, passion, and adventure–intoxicating successes and stunning setbacks; or a contented bordering on happy, secure, predictable life surrounded by friends and family without such wide swings of fortune and mood?

I think I am living the former version of life.  I have been on a crest of a wave for the past few years, now I think it is about to break.  It is at times like these I would like the secure, predictable version of life.
