Many Australian country railway stations have been closed down during my lifetime.
What once was a thriving passenger rail service, has declined to be only goods trains passing through and dropping off railway trucks for locals to unload, or load, whatever had been transported by rail.
Although this station no longer provides a passenger or goods service, the line has not closed and still carries goods trains which merely hurry through on their way inland or back to coastal ports in Geelong and Melbourne.
