Friday Flower Festival – Mock Orange

Just had to photograph our Mock Orange last weekend.

It has been in flower for several weeks now and is located right by our electricity meter…

…which I read each night to record the amount of solar power returned to the grid. As I brush against he bush I am engulfed by the gorgeous aroma emitted by Mock Orange.

The Daphne bush, in front of Mock Orange is surviving and does flower, but is not in the same league as its showy neighbour. However, there is likely to be a severe ‘haircut’ when flowers fade…..and daphne is not going to be the victim!

    • I will pass on the message to our Daphne. I have heard similar comments about Daphne’s but I think ours was asleep for that class. And considering we will be talking spring in a few weeks….it needs to hurry up.

  4. I’m just curious – is there a reason you linked to Week 7 again? Also, the name of the challenge has changed. It’s not Friday Flower Festival anymore it’s Festival of Flowers Check out the linkback page – the logo has changed too. Also, you linked to the wrong place to add the links. That list is closed now. And one last thing – is there a reason you haven’t added your posts to the Linky Tools List for two weeks? The last post you added was during week 5. Perhaps you should read the How To Participate section again.
