My contribution for this week’s
Weekly Photo Challenge ~ Fresh.
While taking these photos the atmosphere could only be described as ‘fresh’.
~~~~~
Fresh frost on….
~~~~~
…..on fresh mulch.
~~~~~
My favourite.
Even with the sun leaving the horizon behind frost was still clinging desperately to freshly laid mulch.
frost is magical indeed
It certainly is. Closest I experience to snow.
I was chuckling as I looked at your pictures because mulch can certainly smell fresh…as can manure put down as fertilizer. In the midwest of the US, we’re certainly not suffering from frost but rather, heat. We did get a thunderstorm and rain last night, which cooled things down a bit as well as providing some welcome moisture.
Nothing like a good downpour to freshen up the world after a spell of hot weather.
Burrrr – fresh indeed! For a moment there I thought your flooding had turned to a torrent – then I put my glasses on and saw all that frost. I remember frost (and chillblanes), crunchy under foot, magical in the sunlight – nice to see sometimes, and remember, but better you than me, mate!
The frosts were a few weeks ago and we still have a waterlogged backyard. I would prefer either to fire, real floods or cyclones. And frost is magical….and prompts a beautiful, sunny day.
