Most regular readers have met Ginger, my black and tan kelpie.
One detail I have not revealed is that Ginger loves to ride on the back of my ute.
As we had planned a Sunday afternoon trip to the hardware store,
we decided Ginger could come with us…
~~~~~
…she alternates between looking around the cabin and barking at passing traffic…
~~~~~
…and looking thorough the rear window…and barking at passing traffic!
~~~~~
As is often the case we planned a cup of coffee as part of our outing.
~~~~~
Even though Ginger begged me she knew she had to remain tied up, but I promised to bring her something for her morning tea.
~~~~~
And I remained true to my word…minus the onions.
~~~~~
Ginger eagerly devoured her morning tea!
This ‘gap filler’ combined with a barbeque sausage for lunch when we left the hardware store made for an enjoyable trip.
~~~~~
Ginger had plenty of stories to tell Maggie and Soxie when we arrived home.
However, Maggie had a firm wooden bottom under her new mattress and all is now supported by the metal bands newly added to her bed, to support her 35 kilograms.
~~~~~
Next time I will make sure my rear window is cleaner
and thanks to
MGW for her Phoneography.
~~~~~
My Phoneography is limited as I do not use my phone a great deal. Secondly, I am off to work in an hour or so (Monday morning) and it is only approaching three-thirty Sunday afternoon in central USA.
A question: back of ute …is that a car? That is my name…….. ????
Yes. It is a vehicle….a small truck. Probably if I had used the word ‘utility’ may have been better. Does that help?
How adventurous of Ginger, I’m glad she enjoyed the ride.
She loves the back of ute and is disappointed if I go without her. Although she seems to know when she can and cannot come. On the farm the back of the ute was how the dogs travelled and enjoyed the wind in their face.
Happy you liked this post. Will pass on hugs to Maggie and Ginger…..but Soxie is in disgrace tonight as he would not come to be fed and locked up for the night. I have not got the touch with cats, I’m afraid.
Do you mean the blonde, the brunette with blondish streaks, or the character who would happily be blonde or brunette? 🙂
Great trip to the store with you. And I am reading this Sunday evening while you are working on your Monday… this world is amazing… its like time travel.
Glad you enjoyed the ride. And yes it is weird…. it is only for a few hours this time of day that we are even in the same day. I remember, when in Canada, that 4 PM was 8 AM in Eastern Australia. Todays APPS make it much easier to see the time in any part of the world. And while you wrote your message Sunday evening, you will still probably receive my reply before 9 PM Monday night – Eastern Australian time now.
